I am a holistic health coach with a passion for helping people live happier, healthier lifestyles. I have been fascinated with the field of nutrition for most of my life.  I’ve always tried to eat a well balanced diet by following the USDA Food Pyramid.  The more I researched the foods that were recommended, the more I realized there was a lot of misinformation regarding proper nutrition.  At the age of 27, I decided to become a lacto-ovo vegetarian due to low energy levels and wanting to add more fiber than animal protein to my diet.  Within months I saw a positive difference in my health.  Two years ago, at the age of 42 I decided to go on a vegan diet which I’m enjoying immensely.

 

I've been blessed with a great husband and two wonderful children.  Raising my profoundly brain inured son has had the biggest impact on my nutritional education.  My journey with him has allowed me to see how the food I fed him affected his body and many medical conditions.  Part of this experience has included the Ketogenic Diet to help with Epilepsy control and the fact that I was able to bring his triglyceride levels down from 500 to 70. I have seen first hand what wholesome nutrition and happiness can do for one's body and soul.

 

I received my training to practice Health Coaching at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, which is the only nutrition school integrating all the different dietary theories—combining the knowledge of traditional philosophies with modern concepts like the USDA food pyramid, the glycemic index, the Zone and raw foods.

 

I’m looking forward to helping many people find good health by eating wholesome foods and incorporating happier lifestyle alternatives into their daily routines.
